Creating a healthy environment in Ballarat for children, families and workers
City of Ballarat Occasional Care is one of the early childhood services in Ballarat working through the Healthy Together Achievement Program to become a health promoting service with support from Ballarat Community Health.
The Achievement Program is a framework which enables early childhood services to create healthier environments, and recognises achievements in promoting the health and wellbeing of children. It is part of Healthy Together Victoria, a statewide initiative which aims to improve people's health by creating opportunities for better health in places where Victorians spend their time - in the family home, childcare centres, schools, workplaces, shops, food outlets and sporting clubs.
