On Wednesday 11th May, 2016, BCH hosted a BBQ and planted a tree in acknowledgement of the contribution of our volunteers.

An estimated 6.1 million Australian adults volunteer a total of 713 million hours each year.

National Volunteer Week (9-15 May) is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank you to the generous Australians who volunteer.

"The BCH volunteers are remarkable and compassionate people who are incredible at what they do and without them BCH would not be able to deliver the quality of services we offer," BCH CEO Robyn Reeves said.

"We exist to serve our community and the BCH volunteers embody that commitment. We are so grateful to them."

A strong correlation exists between the well-being, happiness, health and longevity of people and the opportunities they find to contribute and give to those around them.
