Under the Ice-Action Plan, the Government has committed $2.2 million worth of funds to Ballarat Community Health in conjunction with our service partners to provide a non-residential rehabilitation program to the region, for the next 4 years. Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing; Mental Health; Equality; and Creative Industries Minister Martin Foley confirmed the current state government’s commitment to providing and supporting community based programs across the state.
In addition, Minister Foley also announced that a further $200K would be provided to support families dealing with drug addictions, again over the next 4 years.
This is very exciting news for BCH, and specifically a terrific outcome for our clients, who now have confirmation that we can continue to provide this much needed service.
