Ballarat Community Health has appointed Mr Sean Duffy as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
"The Board are delighted to welcome Sean to Ballarat Community Health as the CEO and believe he will provide significant value to the organisation and our clients," BCH Board Chair Bryan Crebbin said.
Mr Duffy brings strong leadership and management experience to the role of CEO, with experience in community, disability, and alcohol and other drug sectors in addition to clinical experience in mental health.
"It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I accept the role of CEO and I look forward to the ongoing development of BCH as a recognised provider of high quality health and wellbeing services to the community" Mr Duffy said.
Mr Duffy has worked as a general and psychiatric nurse for a number of years in both rural and metropolitan services, progressing into senior executive health management roles at Ballarat and Barwon Health Services. He then managed a Disability and Child, Youth and Family service covering the Western and Northern Divisions of Victoria.
Most recently Mr Duffy has been the Executive Officer for Uniting in Ballarat, Barwon and Western Melbourne regions. He led the Ballarat region through the Merger of UnitingCare agencies into the newly formed Uniting Vic Tas Ltd.
Mr Duffy commences work at BCH on Monday 10 December 2018.
