Ballarat Community Health has qualified physiotherapists practising at Lucas and Sebastopol, with service extending to Smythesdale upon appointment.
Along with general outpatient treatment, there are several new and continuing programs available, including pole walking and the stroke group.
Physiotherapy services are available to all people, including frail older people and people with disabilities. It is an important tool in the management and prevention of some conditions, including:
- back and neck pain
- muscular pain
- neurological disorders such as stroke or Parkinson’s disease
- other chronic conditions.
An initial assessment is 60 minutes and a review is typically 30 minutes. The cost of this service is as per the BCH fee schedule, although no client will be denied service if they cannot pay.
