SecondBite at BCH

SecondBite exists to provide access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need across Australia.

SecondBite exists to provide access to fresh and nutritious food for people in need by rescuing and redistributing surplus fresh food.

SecondBite at BCH collects surplus food from local supermarkets and redistributes to over 20 community food program and school meal programs.  In the last 10 years, our amazing team of BCH SecondBite Volunteers have collected over 200,000 kg of fresh produce and bread, providing ingredients for thousands of meals for Ballarat and district community members.

The food is also utilised for the fortnightly Soup Bus cook up and to assist BCH clients and programs.

To become involved with our SecondBite program please contact: Melissa Farrington at BCH on (03) 5338 4545.
