Register your work for the flu vax 2021

Register your organisation for the 2021 flu vaccination and protect your employees.

Ballarat Community Health is pleased to announce that we are planning to resume onsite flu vaccination clinics at your workplace for the 2021 flu season.*

Whilst we wait patiently for the COVID-19 vaccine, it is important to understand that protecting your employees against the flu is still highly recommended as the flu is more than just a bad cold – it’s highly contagious. If your employees catch the flu they risk spreading it to others, and for some this can occasionally lead to serious complications, including death.  On average it takes up to 2 weeks for most people to recover from the flu presenting a significant impact on the workplace.

It is also important to understand that whilst the flu vaccination in 2021 will not protect against COVID19, it will offer protection against the flu, allaying some of the worry around potentially contracting both COVID-19 and the flu.

The availability and roll out of the COVID 19 vaccine in Australia has not been finalised however we will provide more information to workplaces as soon as it becomes available.

Key Points:

  • BCH intends to offer onsite flu vaccination clinics at your workplace in 2021 unless contraindicated at the time by the DHHS Public Health Department.
