Expect Respect Teacher Resource

The Expect Respect Program aims to engage Year 10 students in practical and creative ways to learn about respectful, safe and equitable relationships. It achieves this by delivering a live-theatre performance accompanied by a question & answer session with a panel of local experts to unpack the key issues and give students the opportunity to ask questions. Help-seeking information is provided, and students are encouraged to access support from existing networks.
The ‘Expect Respect – Teacher Resource’ has been developed to support educators and wellbeing staff implementing the Expect Respect Program as part of a whole-of- school approach to positive and respectful relationships. This approach includes school curriculum, policies, staff professional development and support and referral pathways into local services. The ‘Teacher Resource’ also includes Pre- and Post- Program Resources to encourage and continue conversations in the classroom. These can be used on their own or to complement existing lesson plans.
For a full guide on how to implement a whole-of-school approach to Positive Relationships and Consent Education – from Foundation to Year 12 – please contact the BCH Health Promoting Schools Team to receive access to the BCH ‘Positive Relationships and Consent Education – School Toolkit’.
