Making a change

The Making a Change program (MAC) is a structured eight-week alcohol and other drug day rehabilitation program.

The program aims to:

  • promote behaviour change
  • improve lifestyle, health and wellbeing
  • Reduce or cease the risks, harms and consequences of alcohol and other drug use
  • assist participants to improve feelings of social connectedness
  • improve daily living skills.

This program is for people 18 years and older who have experienced problematic alcohol or other drug use, and requires self-motivation and self-management.

The eight-week program runs Tuesday-Friday (Fridays are optional), 9:30–3:30pm. It runs four times a year:

  • February–March
  • April–June
  • July–September
  • October–December
