Preventative mental health event discussing: the value of emotional expression; mental health optimisation strategies; available services

Come along to Ballarat Community Health to meet others with common interests, get some insights and develop some tools around how to “be there” for a mate, through being there for you first. This preventative mental health event is aimed at adults 18+, and focuses on the social and cultural factors that influence our wellbeing, particularly for men.

Content includes:

  • Defining social drivers of mental health;
  • What we can learn from the statistics highlighting key differences between male and female mental health behavioural outcomes;
  • Why we evolved to have emotions;
  • Learn of available mental health services and optimisation strategies from a panel of local experts and regional mental health providers.
