Royal Commission into Aged Care Community Forum

Ballarat Community Health together with COTA Victoria are hosting a community forum to help people understand what the Royal Commission into Aged Care is and how to be involved.

The forum is for older people, their carers and family members, seniors groups and community organisations. The session will discuss how the community can provide valuable submissions to the Royal Commission and have the opportunity to tell their story.

COTA will be collating the information from this forum to contribute to COTA Australia’s submission to this Royal Commission.

“The Royal Commission into Aged Care is seeking input from the Australian Community and we at Ballarat Community Health want to facilitate people to share their experiences,” CEO Sean Duffy said.

“What we want to see is a strengthening of existing services so that people are receiving the best care possible.”

“We are extremely pleased that this Royal Commission is underway,” Sean Duffy said.

Input on experiences in the following settings is sought:

  • Residential Aged Care
  • Home Care
  • Dementia Care
  • Young people living in residential care

The event is free for people to attend. Please RSVP to Louise Feery at [email protected] or 5338 4518.
