Falls prevention
On temporary hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The No Falls program intends to prevent or reduce the risk of falls, achieved through exercises to improve muscle strength, balance and increased mobility.
It is suitable for people who have had recent falls or who are at high risk of falling, and caters for those who require the use of a gait aid such as a stick or walking frame.
The course comprises one hour of supervised exercise session each week and is facilitated by different healthcare professionals, including exercise physiologists, fitness instructors, podiatrists, dietitians and continence nurses.
A physical assessment conducted by an exercise physiologist is required for new clients prior to commencement of the program. For more information, make an enquiry via the customer service menu to the right-hand side of your screen, or call us directly on (03) 5338 4590 to speak to intake staff.
