Our Team at Ballarat Community Health can provide education and advice in regards to Hepatitis C, as well as the monitoring of clients who are undergoing treatment for Hepatitis C or in the work up of clients who are considering treatment.

Fibroscans now available for a limited time:  Kirsty Simpson (Integrated Hepatitis C Nurse) currently has one of the EC Fibroscans for a short rotation and is available to perform Fibroscans at Ballarat Community Health and at other hepatitis C nurse led clinics at Daylesford, Maryborough, Stawell, Ararat, Horsham and Nhill.  Appointments are available to all new and existing clients throughout the Grampians region. Hepatitis Education

What is it about?

One to one education for people living with Hepatitis C and people at Risk of Hepatitis C.

Who is it for?

Anyone with Hepatitis or their family

How much time will it take?

Initial sessions are 1 hour.

Follow-up can be arranged over the phone or with half to 1 hour  sessions  as  required

Appointments are between 9.00am–5.00pm

Ballarat Health Services Liver Clinic - Drummond Street North, Ballarat (Friday mornings)

Horsham Medical Centre 6-12 Read Street Horsham - (first Wednesday of every Month)

Grampians Community Health 8-22 Patrick Street Stawell   - (fourth Wednesday of every Month)

Springs Medical Centre 10 Hospital Street  Daylesford - (Third Wednesday of every Month)

Arrangement can be made for an appointment at other Ballarat Community Health sites if required

How do I get into the program?

Appointments and referral to any of the clinics can be made by individuals, health service providers or GP's.

Needle & Syringe Exchange Program

Syringes/needles, swabs and disposal containers are provided free of charge, along with a disposal service for used needles.
